A court ruling against diplomats working in Africa

The Criminal Court issued a ruling to imprison the head of the Libyan mission to Uganda for a period of 13 months for alleged “abdication of responsibility.”

According to the Attorney General’s Office, the court issued another imprisonment ruling for the mission’s financial affairs officer for the same reasons.

The Attorney General’s Office added that the charges against the two diplomats were allegedly related to periods going back a decade.

It further added that there were 4 attempted charges and that the court ruled that they were acquitted of two.
