The Special Deterrence Force (SDF) announced the arrest of what it described as “the commander of ISIS in Libya and its former Borders’ official Hashim Bousidra ” in the capital, Tripoli.
The SDF stated that the person concerned was in the country’s south before heading to Tripoli, where he was arrested.
Bousidra was responsible for the organization’s border operations and smuggling its members into the country and their movement between cities before he was appointed as commander, according to the SDF.
The SDF noted that it will be publishing the confessions of the accused, Hashim Bousidra soon.
