Guterres urges Security Council for a unified stance on Libya

The UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has called on the Security Council to have a unified and strong stance on Libya.

The deputy spokesman for the Secretary General Farhan Haq said Guterres and his special representative in Libya, Ghassan Salame, need support from Libya’s neighboring countries as well as all members states at the Security Council.

Meanwhile, Russia vetoes on Wednesday a British draft resolution that aimed to endorse Berlin conclusions and asked for amendments to the text.
