The International Organization for Migration (IOM) said so far in 2019, IOM’s Voluntary Humanitarian Return program has assisted more than 9,600 stranded illegal immigrants in Libya to return home.

IOM added that so far, around 4000 illegal immigrants living in urban settings across Libya have received food relief packages.

“According to our recent study, over half of migrants in Libya reported to have been worried about not having enough food to eat, while a quarter of them said to have gone a whole day without eating.” IOM explained.
