A protester killed by Haftar’s forces in south Libya

A security source in Sabha has confirmed the killing of a protester on Monday after Khalifa Haftar’s forces dispersed the protesters using live bullets.

The source added to Libya Alahrar TV that the protesters went to the city’s security directorate to express their demands before Haftar’s forces had intervened and started shooting at them.

Another security source in Sabha confirmed earlier that Haftar’s forces had prevented the organization of any protests denouncing the political and living situation in the country in front of some government headquarters loyal to his command in Sabha.

The source said that Haftar’s forces withdrew from most of the locations in which they were stationed after the protests that took place in the city, stressing that some people are taking to streets every now and then in protests calling for the dissolution of all political bodies and the holding of elections.
