The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Italian government signed an agreement to support a project called “PEPOL” related to increasing the readiness of the Electoral Commission under the supervision of the UN mission.
According to the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), the agreement aims to benefit from the support provided by the “PEPOL” project under the supervision of the UNDP, to overcome difficulties, especially for young people, people with disabilities, and marginalized groups, to support their participation in the electoral process.
HNEC President Imad Al-Sayeh appreciated the Italian cooperation with the UNDP, as part of international efforts aimed at supporting the anticipated elections.
