The French website, Africa Intelligence, reported Monday that Khartoum and several rebel groups agreed in October that all Darfuri fighters should be united under one banner, thus about 500 rebel vehicles have already left to join Khalifa Haftar’s militias, transiting through Chad.
The website said of the 500 vehicles, 240 are believed to belong to Minni Minawi’s Sudanese Liberation Army, accounting for some two thirds of the vehicles previously recorded in Libya.
“Another 200 are believed to be affiliated with Tahir Hajar’s Sudan Liberation Forces Alliance (SLFA), representing its entire contingent in Libya.” The report added.
