Al-Ameen: Haftar is mobilizing and deploying foreign mercenaries on south Tripoli frontlines

The field commander of the Ain Zara frontline in southern Tripoli Yousef Al-Ameen has stated that Khalifa Haftar is still deploying and mobilizing forces on the frontlines, disregarding the ceasefire.

Al-Ameen told Libya Alahrar TV on Sunday that they had depicted Haftar militias’ movements by intelligence and surveillance missions as well as through residents – who are loyal to the Government of National Accord – in the areas where Haftar’s militias are mobilizing.

He also indicated that the response of the GNA forces would be merciless if any violations of the ceasefire took place, adding that GNA forces can respond to the source and location of random shelling against civilians.

Meanwhile, the spokesman for Libya’s Army Mohammed Gununu said Brigade 301 forces have targeted three military vehicles and infantry forces’ gatherings for Haftar’s militias near Al-Mattabat St. in southern Tripoli.

Likewise, Al-Ameen said Saturday their forces had depicted and destroyed one of Haftar’s rocket launchers used to target Mitiga airport in Tripoli.

On Saturday morning, Mitiga Airport suspended flights for some hours due to Haftar militias’ shelling, then the flights were resumed later in the day.
