Al-Gotrani wants east-based officials to consult him for Libyan PM orders

The Vice Prime Minister of the Libyan Government of National Unity, Hussein Al-Gotrani, stressed in a meeting with east-based ministers and officials that the orders of Prime Minister Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah cannot be implemented without consulting him first.

The meeting also saw a discussion of the results of “Cyrenaica region representatives in the government” statement, which called for giving the region and its residents their rights and the implementation of the all of the political agreement articles.

Al-Gotrani said they are not calling for partition, but they want all institutions to be united without exclusion.

“Currently, most public and government institutions in eastern Libya have no power and most institutions weren’t united as agreed upon.” The meeting attendees said.

Al-Gotrani has previously indicated to Libya Alahrar TV that forming a parallel government in eastern Libya was on the table and would be materialized if the Government of National Unity didn’t answer Cyrenaica demands.
