Al-Saghir: HoR session could include call for forming new Libyan government

The Head of the follow-up committee of the Libyan House of Representatives (HoR) that is tasked with monitoring the progress of election process with the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), Al-Hadi Al-Saghir, said the points of deliberation at the HoR session on Monday aren’t clear yet.

Al-Saghir told Libya Alahrar TV Channel on Monday that the session could include calls by members of the HoR to form a new government to replace the interim Government of National Unity.

In the meantime, the spokesman for the HoR, Abdullah Blehiq, confirmed that the session will be convened on Monday but the agenda of the session wasn’t clear yet.

Blehiq told Libya Alahrar TV Channel that western and southern MPs had arrived in Tobruk ahead of the session, adding that there’s no formal confirmation that the UN Secretary General’s Advisor on Libya, Stephanie Williams, would attend the session.
