Minister of Local Government, Badr al-Din Al-Toumi, discussed with the United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator, Georgette Gagnon, the latest developments in the plan to address the internal displacement crisis.
During the meeting held in Tripoli, Gagnon briefed Al-Toumi on her visits to the municipalities of Ghadames, Awal, and Daraj, as well as Benghazi and Derna, in addition to discussing the latest updates in the recovery and reconstruction operations in Murzuq.
For his part, Al-Toumi affirmed his commitment to providing various types of support to municipalities. He also praised the role of the Humanitarian Affairs Coordinator in enhancing cooperation between concerned parties to achieve progress and development in all joint projects.
