Another Russian Air Force aircraft lands in Benghazi coming from Syria’s Latakia

Itamilradar website, which is specialized in monitoring military aircraft, depicted and tracked Sunday night for the second time in few days (the first one was on 4th January) a Russian Air Force Tupolev Tu-154M landing in Benghazi, Libya, coming from Moscow (via Latakia AB) in Syria.

The aircraft departed Sunday night from Latakia and landed in Benghazi, according to Itamilradar website.

Two days ago, the website depicted and tracked this morning around a Russian Air Force (Tupolev Tu-154M) landing in Benghazi, eastern Libya.

According to the website on Saturday, The Russian aircraft left Latakia AB, Syria at (04:27 CET), yet it departed Friday morning from Moscow Chalovskij airport.

Itamilradar added that the nature of the flight of the Russian aircraft, which landed in Benghazi, was unknown.

A week ago, Itamilradar depicted and tracked a United Arab Emirates Air Force Boeing C-17A Globemaster in flight over western Egypt before entering into Libyan airspace and disappearing.

Russia is neck-deep in helping Khalifa Haftar sustain his attacks on Tripoli as international and UN as well as local reports and documented footage have shown hundreds of Russian mercenaries fighting for Haftar’s forces on the frontlines on the outskirts of Tripoli.
