Bashagha launches initiative for agreement will all Libyan parties

The Prime Minister-designate who was appointed by the House of Representatives, Fathi Bashagha, said that the initiative launched by his government aimed to find agreement on some “national values ​​and principles” in addition to the “Libyan government’s work project that leads to holding elections.

Speaking after a meeting for his government in Derna – eastern Libya – on Tuesday, Bashagha added that the initiative targets all political, social and military forces wishing to establish a solid civilian life.

Bashagha urged for avoiding violence and armed clashes, and for respecting the Libyan legitimacy and the laws as well as procedures that resulted from legislative bodies. In addition, ha called for amnesty, reconciliation and leaving behind the past with a commitment not to repeat the same mistakes in the future.
