One child was killed and four of his family members were injured as gunmen stormed their house in a beach resort in Benghazi on Friday, sources have reported to Libya Alahrar TV.
The local sources added that the gunmen had raided the chalet in which the family was staying, without giving any reasons for this violent crime.
“The gunmen opened fire on the family members inside the chalet, killing one child and injuring four members of the family. One of the injured was a five-year-old girl and her injury was very serious.” The sources further explained.
They added that another girl was injured by shrapnel in her two legs while a two-year-old boy was hit by a bullet in his leg.
The sources also confirmed to Libya Alahrar TV that the mother of the children was also injured and had a miscarriage as she was seven-month pregnant.
