The Russian President’s Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Mikhail Bogdanov, called the new head of the Presidential Council (PC), Mohammad Younes Menfi, and talked about the situation in Libya.
Bogdanov said that he had discussed the situation inside Libya and the region, in the lights of the Libyan Dialogue outcomes, which was held in Geneva, and the selection of the interim authority by members.
Bogdanov expressed that the selection of the new authority would be a significant milestone on the road to resolve the country’s protracted crisis. He indicated that Moscow is ready to intensify and strengthen Libyan-Russian multi-faced cooperation, based on mutual respect, benefit, and friendship traditions.
