Brigade 444 arrests criminal wanted by ICC, Libyan AG Office for Tarhouna mass graves

Brigade 444 announced the arrest of Mohamed Al-Saleheen, one of the most wanted persons by the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the Libyan Attorney General’s Office.

The Brigade said in a statement that Al-Saleheen was accused of killing at least 60 innocent people in Tarhouna prison, in addition to hanging one of the kidnapped persons inside the prison.

The Brigade explained that it handed Al-Saleheen over to the Attorney General’s Office for further legal procedures for his crimes.

The International Criminal Court issued in last October arrest warrants against six members of Al-Kaniyat militia on charges of committing war crimes: Abdul Rahim Al-Kani, Makhlouf Douma, Nasser Miftah Daw, Mohammed Al-Saleheen, Abdul Bari Al-Shaqaqi, and Fathi Al-Zankal.
