Burkan Al-Ghadab rejects UN attempts to include war advocates in Libyan dialogue

The coalition of the backup forces to the Burkan Al-Ghadab Operation of the Government of National Accord (GNA) rejected Monday in a statement the attempts of the UNSMIL to create a new transitional phase in Libya and include “illegitimate personalities in the Libyan political dialogue.”

The coalition added that it is with peace and political solutions that are agreed on by all Libyans, saying that it would back up genuine efforts for ending transitional phases with a constitution and general elections.

“The names selected by the UNSMIL for November 09 Libyan Dialogue Forum in Tunisia are all the reason for the war and crisis that we are in.” The coalition added.

It reiterated that the role of the UNSMIL is imbalanced and rather biased, saying the UN mission should stick to international law and the regulations of its mandate.
