China confirms to GNA readiness to provide needed aids to Libya to confront Coronavirus

The spokesman for the Libyan Foreign Ministry Mohammed Al-Giblawi said that China had contacted the Government of National Accord and expressed readiness to provide all equipment needed to confront the Coronavirus outbreak in Libya.

Al-Giblawi said the Chinese President Xi Jinping had confirmed in a letter to the Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj that China supports Libya at this critical time.

The letter hailed the vital preventive measures taken by the Government of National Accord against the outbreak of Coronavirus.

The Chinese President said his country was ready to send expertise to Libya in order to keep the health sector in Libya functioning vitally.

Libya has now recorded ten Coronavirus cases across the country amid strict preventive measures taken by the GNA to limit movement, including banning cross-country travel, shutting down borders to travel in and out, and imposing curfews.
