Coronavirus vaccines distributed for use across Libya

The Libyan Health Minister, Ali Al-Zanati, said Wednesday that the Ministry had ordered the start of the distribution of Coronavirus vaccines to all vaccination centers to kickoff the campaign across Libya.

Al-Zanati said starting the vaccination campaign was given after the Food and Drugs Administration had okayed the use of the imported Sputnik V and AstraZeneca vaccines.

He also said the Health Ministry will distribute the vaccine to “cold storage units” and then to vaccination centers to start giving doses to the registered Libyans or foreigners residing in the country.

The Health Minister indicated that the priority of vaccination would be for health workers, people with chronic diseases and old people, renewing call on Libyans to register on the assigned website for vaccination.
