The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdulhamid Dbeibah, expressed to the Russian ambassador his satisfaction with the Russian position towards the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
During his meeting with the Russian representative to follow up on several political and economic files between the two countries, Dbeibah called for unifying the international position regarding the Palestinian issue, stressing Libya’s firm stance concerning the Israeli aggression against Gaza.
For his part, the Russian ambassador confirmed to Dbeibah that the embassy operates with its entire staff from within Tripoli and is normally providing its services.
The ambassador also stressed his country’s desire for economic and academic cooperation between the public and private sectors in the two countries and its support for the efforts of the UN envoy to Libya, Abdullah Bathilly, to hold elections under fair laws.
