The Libyan Prime Minister, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, has announced that he is going to visit Rome in June, a visit that will come days after Khalifa Haftar’s talks in Italy.
Dbeibah’s remarks came at the Libya Build Exhibition in Tripoli with Italian businesspersons to whom he said: “Inshallah I’ll visit Rome next month.”
The spokesman for the Government of National Unity (GNU), Mohammed Hammouda, told Italian Nova news agency that Dbeibah’s schedule includes a visit to Rome, without specifying a date for the visit.
Haftar held talks with the Italian Prime Minister, the Vice PM and a number of ministers and officials in early May.
