Dbeibah urges HoR members to endorse GNU for Libya’s unity

The Prime Minister-elect, Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah, said in a video statement on Monday that coming up with the cabinet line-up of the Government of National Unity (GNU) wasn’t an easy challenge, adding that “there is now a trust crisis”.

Dbeibah indicated that the formation of the GNU was done in a realistic and inclusive manner, adding that he had to take into consideration the balance that can end Libya’s conflicts and crises.

“The GNU cabinet line-up that we have presented to the House of Representatives is based on the outcomes of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum, which said no party will be excluded so that the GNU can be endorsed.” Dbeibah added.

He urged the members of the House of Representatives not to miss out on the chance to unite the parliament and achieve national reconciliation as well as enable the GNU to start work.
