The number of the deaths following the explosion of a fuel tank truck in Bent Beya area in south Libya has risen to 15 after a seriously injured person is reported dead in Hospital 1200 in Benghazi.
On August 01, a fuel tank truck exploded leaving deaths (15 so far) and injuries (over 100) in the south Libyan town of Bent Baya.
Following the incident, the Libyan Government of National Unity, Health Ministry and other relevant authorities responded to the incident, sending air ambulance to take the injured persons to different hospitals in Tripoli and Benghazi.
Later on, the Libyan Government of National Unity began sending seriously-injured persons abroad – to Italy, Spain and Tunisia – to receive medical treatment for the burns suffered in the explosion.
