Egyptian delegation headed by deputy intelligence chief arrives in Tripoli

Diplomatic sources have told Libya Alahrar TV that an Egyptian delegation has arrived in Libyan capital, Tripoli, to meet with Government of National Accord (GNA) officials.

The Egyptian delegation is headed by the deputy chief of intelligence and head of Libyan file at the Egyptian Presidency Ayman Badie as well as other diplomats, who are scheduled to meet Sunday GNA officials.

Libya Alahrar obtained a copy of the visits’ schedule of the Egyptian delegation, which will meet first the GNA’s Foreign Minister Mohammed Sayala in Tripoli, then with the deputy head of Presidential Council Ahmed Maiteeq in the presence of the Foreign Minister.

The diplomatic sources told Alahrar TV that the Egyptian delegation will also meet with the GNA’s Chief of General Staff Mohammed Al-Haddad at Abu Sitta Naval Base in Tripoli, and then the delegation will have a meeting with the commander of western military zone Osama Juweili.

The Egyptian delegation will have a business lunch with the Libyan Interior Minister Fathi Bashagha in the presence of the acting chief of intelligence Emad Al-Trabelsi. The delegation will then pay a visit to the Egyptian embassy before flying back to Cairo.
