Egyptian delegation meets Libya’s GNA officials in Tripoli

The Egyptian delegation, headed by deputy intelligence chief Ayman Badie, that arrived in Tripoli Sunday met with the Foreign Minister of the Government of National Accord Mohammad Sayala and deputy head of Presidential Council Ahmed Maiteeq as well as Chief of General Staff Mohammad Al-Haddad at Corenthia Hotel, sources have told Libya Alahrar.

The sources said the Egyptian delegation will later meet the Interior Minister Fathi Bashagha and acting chief of intelligence Emad Al-Trabelsi at the same hotel.

According to the sources, the Egyptian delegation asked the Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord not to publish details of the visit and discussions, adding that the visit aims to pave the way for resuming diplomatic, economic and security relations between Cairo and Tripoli.
