Egyptian Institute for Studies: Egypt, UAE’s warplanes supporting Haftar in Libya

The Egyptian Institute for Studies confirmed in a report on Friday that Egypt had been taking part in the aggression on Tripoli by carrying out Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions in addition to carrying out airstrikes in the vicinity of Tripoli Airport in coordination with the UAE’s warplanes.

The Egyptian Institute for Studies added, reporting Israeli website DEBKAfile, that the Egyptian Army had transferred “T-72” tanks, military vehicles, and arms to Libya at the orders of the President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on December 19, 2019.

It added that Khalifa Haftar had coordinated with El Sisi in his latest visit to Cairo regarding the airstrikes and ISR missions of the Egyptian warplanes, in addition to the UAE’s aircraft that are positioned at Egyptian airbases and inside Libya.
