The High Representative of the European Union, Joseph Borrell, has said he will visit Libya on January 07 2020 to meet with the Head of the Libyan Presidential Council and a number of Libyan officials.
Speaking on the phone with the Libyan Foreign Minister at the Government of National Accord, Mohammed Sayala, Borrell said he will be accompanied by foreign ministers of Germany, France, Italy and the United Kingdom.
Borrell also discussed with Sayala on Friday the developments of Khalifa Haftar’s offensive on Tripoli and his forces’ attacks on civilians in Tripoli and the western region, according to the Foreign Ministry’s statement.
