Evicted citizens in southern Tripoli return to their rightful properties

The Public Prosecutor has issued a decision to evacuate real estate properties in the Ain Zara suburb south of Tripoli, that were illegally occupied. The decision was made after investigating the demands of 73 citizens who were forced to leave their homes.

According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, 18 families have returned to their homes with the facilitation of the law enforcement force. These families had been forced to leave their homes in 2013 by certain groups.

The Public Prosecutor has called on the Qasr Bin Ghashir Security Directorate to implement the order issued by the Public Prosecution in Tripoli and hand over the properties according to a handover report in coordination with the Law Enforcement Department.

Several citizens had called on the Public Prosecutor to work to recover their farms located in the Ain Zara area in the Sidi Fitra district – Khallet Al-Habasha. This move is expected to restore the rights of the rightful owners of the properties and ensure that the law is upheld.
