Final number of victims of floods in Sousse comes out

Ahmed Al-Fart, a member of the Emergency Committee in Sousse municipality, has reported that the municipality has recorded 14 fatalities, 6 missing individuals including children, and 20 families displaced.

Al-Fart, in his statement to Libya Al-Ahrar, reassured that the current situation in the municipality is stable. He confirmed that life has resumed its normal course to some extent, and electricity is readily available.

However, he also highlighted that the educational process in the municipality is yet to recommence. This delay is due to the ongoing efforts to prepare and clean educational institutions.

The municipality is grappling with a water shortage due to pollution in the network. To mitigate this issue, they are receiving water tanks free of charge.

Al-Fart further elaborated that relief teams have catered to all the needs of the displaced families. Most of these displaced individuals are currently residing with their relatives in the city and its neighboring areas.
