Following Tripoli clashes, Military Prosecutor orders travel ban on Bashagha and CO

The Libyan Military Prosecutor Masoud Rahouma called Sunday on Passports, Citizenship and Foreigners Affairs to place the House of Representatives-designated Prime Minister Fathi Bashagha, his government spokesman Othman Abduljalil, former Spy Chief Osama Juweili and Head of Democratic Party Mohammed Sowan on a travel ban and under arrest, which he said comes amid the ongoing investigation into “the aggression” on Tripoli on August 27.

On Saturday, the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Dbeibah ordered in a letter to the Military Prosecutor and Interior Minister the immediate arrest of all individuals – civilian or military – taking part in the “aggression on Tripoli.”
