Four civilians killed, a dozen others injured in Haftar’s strikes on Tajoura

The spokesman for the Health Minister Fawzi Awnis has confirmed to Libya Al-Ahrar TV that four bodies and six injured persons have arrived at the Field and Support Medical Center after an airstrike by Khalifa Haftar’s forces on Tajoura district.

The Field and Support Medical Center told Libya Alahrar on Tuesday that hours after the airstrikes, the number of injured civilians reached 12.

In the meantime, the mayor of Tajoura Hussein bin Attiyah also confirmed that four people were killed as Haftar’s forces carried out an airstrike on a house in Khalit Fares area in Tajoura.

“Three civilians have been injured by another round of shelling by Haftar’s forces on a vegetables shop in Al-Baeish area in Tajoura.” The mayor added.

Burkan Al-Ghadab (Volcano of Rage) Operation also confirmed on Tuesday that the three civilians in Al-Baeish area in Tajoura were injured by Grad rockets fired by Haftar’s forces – mainly targeting civilian residential neighborhoods.

Over the last days, civilians and fighters have been killed by drone strikes by Haftar’s forces’ UAE backers, according to the state official statements and Burkan Al-Ghadab Operation’s media office. The drone strikes targeted Misrata, Msallata, Zliten and Sirte.
