French Foreign Minister reiterates need to end hostilities in Libya

The French Foreign Minister, Jean-Yves Le Drian, has reiterated the need to reactivate Berlin conclusions and put an end to external intervention.

Le Drian said in a phone call with the Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj that it is necessary to resume negotiations of the 5+5 military commission to reach a ceasefire based on the Geneva talks of last February.

Last June, the forces of the Government of National Accord (GNA) found in Gharyan city Javelin missiles made in the US and provided to France, which gave them to Haftar’s militias to help their war on Tripoli.
