GECOL announces 2800 high-pressure cables stolen

On Sunday, the General Electricity Company of Libyan (GECoL) announced that 2,800 meters of high-pressure cables on two different lines were stolen.

One thousand five hundred meters of high-pressure cables were stolen from Aljomrok line on Wadi Alrabee road in Qasr Bin-ghesheer, the company announced. Additional 1300 meters were stolen from Al-Sa’eh distribution circuit in Tarhouna.

“The theft affected three pneumatic transformers and two stations,” the company posted on its Facebook page.
