The spokesman for the Libyan Army under the command of the Government of National Accord (GNA) Mohammed Gununu said the Libyan Air Force had carried out 24 strikes on Al-Watiya airbase since Tuesday morning.
Gununu said that GNA warplanes had destroyed two Grad launchers, ammunition vehicle and military vehicles as well as positions for Haftar’s militias inside Al-Watiya airbase.
Meanwhile, Burkan Al-Ghadab Operation said GNA forces started Tuesday morning a large-scale offensive on Haftar’s militias in Al-Watiya airbase, adding that they had destroyed over 10 military vehicles, killing all fighters inside.
The Burkan Al-Ghadab Operation media office also said that the commander of Al-Watiya airbase of Haftar’s militias, Osama Emseik, was killed in the offensive on the airbase.
