The commander of Tripoli military zone under the command of the Government of National Accord (GNA) Abdelbaset Marwan said the airspace of the western region became secure after the liberation of Al-Watiya airbase.
Marwan told Libya Alahrar TV that Burkan Al-Ghadab Operation forces will use Al-Watiya airbase to target threats to the region’s security.
“The liberation of Al-Watiya airbase came due after long and continuous operations by the GNA forces to end the suffering of Libyans in Tripoli.” Marwan added.
He called on the wise and the dignitaries of the western region to preserve the social fabric and stop siding with Haftar’s aggression, which harmed the Libyan social fabric over the years.
