GNU: Our position is firm in supporting Sudan and opening the borders to its refugees

The spokesman for the Government of National Unity (GNU), Mohamed Hamouda, affirmed Libya’s position on assisting and supporting Sudan and opening the borders to host refugees.

Hamouda said in a statement to Libya Al-Ahrar that communication is ongoing between the Government and the main parties in the Sudan crisis.

Hamouda promised that any interference in Sudan to give one party the upper hand over another would be considered negative and rejected by the Government and the Presidential Council.

Regarding the visit of the Commander of the Rapid Support Forces in Sudan, Hamouda confirmed that Hemedti accepted the invitation and that he will visit Libya soon, pointing out that communication continues between Dbeibah and the different parties in Sudan within the framework of enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
