Haftar’s forces pull out from Al-Wishka, retreat toward Sirte; Baytelmal says

The commander of the Sirte-Jufra operations room, Brigadier General Ibrahim Baytelmal, has confirmed that Khalifa Haftar’s forces have withdrawn from Al-Wishka town to Sirte after heavy attacks by the Air force of the Government of National Accord (GNA).

Baytelmal told Libya Alahrar TV that they had sent reinforcements to the positions of their forces in the area to pave the way for regaining control of Sirte and pushing out Haftar’s forces.

Meanwhile, sources confirmed to Libya Alahrar TV that 18 fighters from Haftar’s forces had been killed in Al-Wishka town in airstrikes by the GNA Air Force.

Earlier, the Spokesman for the Libyan Army under the command of the GNA Mohammed Gununu confirmed that their forces had destroyed UAE armored vehicles and a Grad rockets launcher vehicle for Khalifa Haftar’s forces in Buwairat Al-Hassoun in western Sirte.
