Haftar’s militias bomb civilian houses in Ain Zara – southern Tripoli

The commander of Ain Zara frontline under the command of the Government of National Accord (GNA) Yousef Al-Ameen said Khalifa Haftar’s militias had targeted civilian neighborhoods in the area with indiscriminate Mortars.

Al-Ameen said the indiscriminate shelling of Haftar’s militias had damaged several civilian houses, saying frontlines in Ain Zara had been seeing some skirmishes every now and then.

Since April 14, eight civilians have been killed as 41 others injured, according to UNSMIL.

Acting Head of UNSMIL, Stephanie Williams, said on April 24 in a presser that Haftar’s militias were responsible for the shelling in the center of Tripoli, saying Turkey-Russia truce had been violated over 850 times, while humanitarian truce for tackling Coronavirus had been violated over 70 times in one week.
