Haftar’s militias seize Al-Asaba and Ghout Al-Reeh towns

The spokesman for the Gharyan Protection Force Motaz Shanbar has confirmed that Khalifa Haftar’s militias have retaken control of Al-Asaba town, adding that they have seized as well control of Ghout al-Reeh checkpoint in northeast Gharyan.

Shanbar told Libya Alahrar that forces under the command of the Government of National; Accord (GNA) had withdrawn from Ghout Al-Reeh toward Gharyan after UAe drones of Haftar’s militias had targeted them, adding that the GNA forces in Al-Asaba had pulled put to Kikla town.

“We’ll regain control of Al-Asaba town after military reinforcements from GNA come to the area.” Shanbar said, adding that Haftar’s militias had attacked Al-Akermi area in an attempt to storm into AL-Heera town.

“The Libyan GNA forces destroyed a military vehicle for Haftar’s militias as they were trying to advance on Al-Heera.” He added.

This morning, the mayor of Al-Asaba town Saad Al-Shirtaa told Libya Alahrar TV that clashes broke out in the town, criticizing “sleepy GNA” amid speedy military developments.
