The Head of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC) Emad Al-Sayeh has denied receiving an official invitation from the House of Representatives (HoR) to attend a questioning session on Monday, as reported by HoR members.
Al-Sayeh indicated that the HNEC is waiting for the reception of a formal invitation by the HoR so that it can respond to it and the questions that are asked of the HNEC in the statement issued by HoR members.
The Head of the HNEC said they are working for the success of elections and holding them on their scheduled date, indicating that there’s no information on delaying election.
“The HNEC appealed all the motions against it without exception and the rumors about the HNEC appealing certain persons only was meant to mislead the public to win the votes of the people in a misleading electoral campaign.” Al-Sayeh added.
