The Second Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Ahmid Houma, reviewed with the Head of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), Emad Al-Sayeh, the latest developments in the electoral process and the work of the HNEC to hold presidential and parliamentary elections as per the HoR election laws.
The announcement came in a brief statement by the spokesman for the HoR, Abdullah Blehiq who confirmed the HoR convened Tuesday and was chaired by Houma without the attendance of Al-Sayeh.
Blehiq said the HoR session was closed and talked about the election process as well as some laws on the HoR agenda. He said some west-based HoR members didn’t attend the session, but said nothing about the reasons for their absence.
