HoR endeavours to endorse the new government

The Spokesperson of Tripoli-based House of Representatives (HoR), Asaad Al-Shartaa, asserted that the HoR would hold a full-quorum session to discuss granting confidence to the new government and adopting its work-plan and budget.

Al-Shertaa added, in an official statement, that representatives are holding intensive communications to have a session and recall the boycotting members to step up to their responsibilities.

He stated that the HoR had reiterated the need to adhere to the agreed principles concerning the government’s priorities and scheduled dates for elections and the constitutional entitlement.
The HoR had prioritized executing reforms, working out the financial, economic and services-related problems affecting Libyan citizens.

From his side, the head of the HoR in Tripoli, Hammoda Seiala, called, Saturday, the HoR members all around the country to be present in the headquarters to endorse the anticipated government and monitor its work.

In the meantime, the Tobruk-based HoR, too, called its boycotting members to join the sessions in Benghazi and grant confidence to Dbeibah’s anticipated government after he was elected by The Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF) to lead the government for the upcoming stage.

The media advisor to Tobruk-based HoR, Fathy Al-Mariamy, had stated that the HoR would soon convene and unite “no matter in which city”. He added that “we support the statement by the first representative, Fawzy Al-Noweiry, in which he called on all members to re-join one HoR and discard disagreements.

He had also asserted that Tobruk-based HoR awaits the new cabinet’s formation, announcing ministers’ names and knowing their work-plans.
