Italian court rules for Libya against SCT firm

The spokesman for the Libyan Foreign Ministry of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Mohammed Al-Giblawi, said Venice Court of Appeals had ruled for Libyan consulate in Milan and rejected a lawsuit from Italian firm, SCT, that wanted to get 7 million dollars in compensation.

“The STC lawsuit against the Libyan consulate aimed to seize bank accounts and deposits for the Libyan state.” Al-Giblawi explained to Libya Alahrar TV.

The spokesman added that the Libyan consul in Milan, Salim Jamoum, and the team of lawyers reiterated from the start of the case that there was a forgery of the Tripoli Court ruling for SCT firm.

“The ruling was annulled by the Italian court.” Al-Giblawi further explained.
