Itamilradar website, which is specialized in monitoring military aircraft, said it had depicted two US Air Force drones, General Atomics MQ-9 Reaper, last night in flight from Libya to NAS Sigonella; Italy.
Itamilrader said the USAF drones (Reapers but also Global Hawks) were making regular missions over Libya departing from Sigonella.
Separately, the Russian coastal missile systems “Rubezh”, which is still in service with the Russian army, were transferred to Libya from Egypt for the likely confrontation with Turkish frigates that entered the country’s territorial waters a few days ago, Avia.Pro has reported.
Despite the absence of any evidence of the transfer of Rubezh complexes from Egypt to Libya, experts do not exclude that Cairo could have taken such a step.
It said the capabilities of the Rubezh DBK, the Haftar forces have the opportunity to attack Turkish frigates at distances of up to 80 kilometres, and the P-15M missile will have enough capabilities to do it in Turkish warships.
