Libya and three other countries express reservations about Arab League’s resolution

The Libyan Foreign Ministry said, thought the Arab League Representative, that it has reservation about the Arab League’s resolution on Libya, and so did three other countries.

The Foreign Ministry said that the Libyan Representative and three Arab countries rejected Article No.8 of the Arab League’s resolution that welcomed the Cairo Initiative, which it named “Libyan Initiative”.

The Libyan Foreign Ministry said the Government of National Accord (GNA) is the only legitimate entity in Libya, the Arab world and internationally, saying the Egyptian initiative was not discussed by Cairo with the GNA.

Tunisia, Qatar and Somalia, along with Libya have expressed reservations about the Arab League resolution at the ministerial meeting that was held upon Egypt’s request without consultations with the GNA, which decreased its diplomatic attendance at the meeting to the Arab League representative only top protest the step.
