Libya’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Taher El-Sonni, met with the Arab Group in New York and representatives of Russia, the United States of America, and China to discuss the Israeli occupation’s violations against the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
The meetings were held within the framework of Libya’s presidency of the Arab Group. The discussions also included “practical proposals through which work can be done to implement the General Assembly and Security Council resolutions pertaining to the humanitarian situation.”
El-Sonni emphasized Libya’s commitment to provide all possible support to confront the aggression of the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people and support their just cause.
