Libya participates in Third Türkiye-Africa Ministerial Review Conference

Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Taher Al-Baour, stressed the importance of the Turkish-African partnership and its role in achieving sustainable development in Africa, adding during his participation in the third Türkiye-Africa Ministerial Review Conference, “which aims to review and evaluate cooperation mechanisms between the two continents.”

In his speech during the conference in Djibouti, Al-Baour stressed the importance of the role of regional economic groups, such as the Arab Maghreb Union, which is currently chaired by Libya, in enhancing regional cooperation and integration.

Al-Baour announced Libya’s readiness to host the fourth “Türkiye-Africa Partnership Summit” scheduled to be held in 2026, stressing that Libya will work to provide all appropriate conditions for the success of this summit.

Al-Baour commended the efforts of the African Union Commission to enhance cooperation between the African continent and Turkey, expressing his appreciation for the role played by the President of the Republic of Mauritania as the current Chairman of the African Union, and the Chairman of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki.
