Libya to introduce e-visa for foreigners

The committee tasked with visa applications of foreign nationals wishing to enter Libya whether for tourist, business or work purposes has convened in Tripoli and discussed the measures of launching an online e-visa system.

The committee, according to Hokoometna media platform on Facebook, said the online system was given a priority and would be soon launched in coordination with the Ministry of Labor to regulate and organize the incoming workforce.

“The Head of the committee briefed the attendees on the measures that they had taken to make the e-visa system a successful one in cooperation with the Passports and Citizenship Authority, Ministry of Labor and the Libyan Telecommunications Company.” Hokoometna – a Government of National Unity’s media platform – said.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Adel Junua, the Head of the Passports and Citizenship Authority, the General Director of the Libyan Telecommunications Authority and others.
