Libya urges Malta to open consulate in Benghazi

The Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah urged Malta to open a consulate in Benghazi and to open the airspace between Benina and Valletta airports.

Dbeibah’s remarks came in a meeting on last Thursday in Tripoli with a delegation from the Maltese government headed by the Minister of Defense and National Security, Chief of Intelligence and Commander of the Maltese Armed Forces.

The meeting reviewed the need to implement the results of the meetings of the Maltese government delegation with the designated Minister of Interior, Emad Al-Trabelsi, and the Chief of the General Staff, Mohammed Al-Haddad.
