Libya, US sign MoU in Container Control Program

Representatives from the US embassy to Libya attended the MoU signing ceremony formalizing a partnership between the Libyan Customs Authority and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Container Control Program (CCP) on Wednesday.

The US embassy said in a statement that the work outlined in this MOU is critical to strengthening Libya’s border security at key ports.

“The project is made possible with funding through the U.S. Department of State’s Export Control and Border Security Program (EXBS). We hope for a successful partnership for a more a secure, peaceful, and prosperous Libya.” The statement added.
